Vivian Lea Abbott

Vivian Lea Abbott, 69, of Bulger, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday June 11, 2026 after a lengthy illness.

She was born on August 25, 1956 a daughter of the late John and Valera Leary Bowland.

Vivian worked for as a nurse’s aide at Atrium in Robinson Twp. And retired from Triumph Interiors in Hankey Farms.

She is survived by her five children Angela Mehlmauer (Edward) of Weirton, WV, Renea Kotouch (Royce) of Eldersville, Shawn Michael Abbott (Patricia) of Frankfort Springs, Gregg Eugene Abbott of Burgettstown and Stacy Riffle of Burgettstown; grandchildren Deena (Mike) Pugh, Alden (Emily) Mehlmauer, Ryan (Madison) Abbott, Steven (Keirsten) Kotouch, Christopher Kotouch, Ann McCullough, Alyssa McCullough, Emily Abbott, Matthew (Melissa) Abbott, Caitlin (Stephvon) Riffle, Austin (Alai) Riffle and Hunter (Nicole) Riffle; great grandchildren Samuel, Lillian, Louis, Julia, Ava, Hazel, Reed, Rory, Rivers, Hadley, Cooper, Delaney and Parker; three sisters and a brother Valera “Babe” Menke (Bud) of McDonald, John Bowland (Pam) of Burgettstown, Brenda Carter (Brad) of Cecil and Pamela Bowland of Bulger; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents are her companion of over 30 years William Skarupa; two great grandchildren Oliver and S.J.; three brothers Charlie, Rick and Jack Bowland; and a sister Betty Abbott.

Family and friends will be received on Monday June 15, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of Burgettstown, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021. Burial will follow in the Grandview Cemetery, Florence.
