Virginia “Ginny” Morra Sheraskey

Virginia “Ginny” Morra Sheraskey, 83, of Burgettstown, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, October 1, 2023 in her home.

She was born on October 18, 1939 a daughter of the late James J. Morra, Sr. and Laura Bednarzik Morra.

A 1957 graduate of the Union High School in Burgettstown, she worked as a seamstress for Bobby Brooks in Washington and retired from the Robinson Township Giant Eagle.

A parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Burgettstown, she enjoyed traveling to North Carolina to visit her daughter, cooking family dinners on Sundays and was a faithful member of her card club.

She is survived by her two children Laurie Ferguson of Hampstead, NC and Daniel Sheraskey and wife Becky of Daisytown; her four grandchildren Chelcie Sellers, Caitlin Ferguson, Danielle Sheraskey and Dalton Sheraskey; a great grandson Liam Sellers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Michael Sheraskey on March 4, 2019 and a brother James J. Morra, Jr.

All are welcome to her Mass of Christian Burial which will be Celebrated by the Rev. David Perry at 11:00 a.m. on Friday October 6, 2023 in Our Lady of Lourdes Church of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, 1109 Main Street, Burgettstown, PA 15021 followed by inurnment in the Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. A luncheon and continuation of fellowship will be held after the services at the Burgettstown Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall.
