Victoria Angela Bywaters

Victoria Angela Bywaters, 68 , of Slovan, passed away on Friday March 15, 2024 in Heritage Valley Sewickley with her family by her side.

She was born on October 23, 1955, a daughter of the late William S. Dugas, Sr. and Rose Ann Bovalina Dugas.

A 1973 graduate of the Union High School in Burgettstown, she went on to earn her associate degree from Robert Morris College in 1975. She worked as a bookkeeper at the family business her parents started in 1964, Panhandle Food Sales, Inc. in Slovan.

Vicki was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Burgettstown where she was active in the church festivals and the former grade school. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and grandson.

On July 2, 1977, she married Donald Bywaters, Sr. who survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her two sons Donald Bywaters, Jr. and wife Erin of Houston and Alan Bywaters of Moon Twp.; her grandson Cole Bywaters; brothers William S. Dugas, Jr. and wife Patty of Slovan and David V. Dugas, Sr. and wife Stacy of Slovan; a sister Rosalie Devereaux and husband Mike of Oakdale; a brother-in-law Rick Bywaters of Burgettstown; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents are her mother and father-in-law Betty Jean and Donald D. Bywaters and a brother-in-law Gary Bywaters.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Monday March 18, 2024 in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of Burgettstown, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021 where Departing Prayers will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday March 19, 2024 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated by the Rev. Harry Bielewicz at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish in Burgettstown. Interment will follow in the Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.

Because she loved watching and cheering on her grandson Cole’s baseball team, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Chartiers-Houston Youth Baseball Association, PO Box 23, Houston, PA 15342
