Thomas J. Tender

Thomas J. "Tommy" Tender, 69, of Burgettstown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, September 17, 2025 in his home.

He was born on October 6, 1955 in Washington a son of the late Vincent A. Tender, Sr. and Helen J. Allison Tender.

A graduate of the Burgettstown High School, he retired from Pepsi Cola where he was a driver.

Tommy was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed taking his 1968 Dodge Coronet to area car shows. He was a member of the Cherry Valley Sportsman Association, the Atlasburg VFW and the Owl's Club in Cherry Valley.

He is survived by his loving wife and longtime companion Deana Huber Tender whom he married on April 11, 2007; his children Corrina Tender, Bentley Tender, Amanda Kozay and Jesse Tender and wife Sara; grandchildren Jessica and Rylee Tender and Haleigh Kozay; brothers Vincent A. Tender, Jr. and wife Bonnie and Greg Tender and wife Judy; sisters Gerri Coffield and Pauline Tender; sister-in-law Joanna Forbes and husband Jonathan; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents are his brother Larry Tender; two sisters Barb Robertson (surviving husband Clifford) and Kathy McBee and husband Lee; a granddaughter Evie Jo Tender; and his mother-in-law Sally Harris Bauduin.

Family and friends will be received from 12:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday September 21, 2025 where a Catholic Blessing Service officiated by Fr. John Ferguson will be held at 4:00 p.m. in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to his family in care of the funeral home.
