Shirley Anne Mayer Diamond, 81, formerly of Cherry Valley, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in Austin, TX where she has resided the past 6 years.
Shirley, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Kuzyck Mayer was born on April 23, 1939.
She attended the Union High School in Burgettstown and graduated with the class of 1957. She was self employed as owner of Diamond Associates marketing firm and volunteered for many years at local hospitals. Shirley enjoyed travel, cooking for family and neighbors, and spending time with her family.
Shirley is survived by her husband Nicholas Diamond whom she married on August 16, 1958. She is also survived by her three children, Rita Diamond (Austin, TX), Tom Diamond and wife JoAnn (St. Paul, MN) and Ken Diamond ( Oklahoma City, OK); five grandchildren Chris, Brett and Jeff Vinecombe and Adam and Ryan Diamond; and 3 great-grandchildren Dylan, Alex, and Ella. Shirley was pre-deceased by her brother Robert (Bob) Mayer.
Family and friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. until the time of a Blessing Service officiated by the Rev. Harry Bielewicz at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday March 18, 2021 in the Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021. Interment will follow the Blessing Service in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown.
