Shawn Bistarkey

Shawn Bistarkey, 43, of Langeloth, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday June 25, 2022. As his final gift, he was an organ donor.

He was born on February 10, 1979 in Washington, PA a son of the late Charles Bistarkey, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife Heather; three daughters Faith, Lauren and Shelby; three stepsons Frederick Gill, Zachary Gill, and Ryan Gill; stepdaughter Autumn Gill;  and four step grandchildren Skyleigh, Judy, Owen and Connor.

Shawn was an avid fisherman. He learned to tie his own flies for fly fishing on his own and also loved taking his daughters and wife fishing and teaching them. He also enjoyed cooking, camping, traveling and his work. He loved to joke, laugh and be sarcastic at times. He loved trapping and coon hunting. He was always willing to help anyone out that he could. He. Loved his family and friends and always made time for them.

Shawn has owned his own business, SLF Metals, LLC since 2018. His business was his pride, joy and life's work. He worked long hours for his business to succeed. He also worked for Ironworkers of Western PA Local 549 as an Ironworker. In addition, he worked for Blue's Tree Service, and Zambelli Fireworks. 

Private services were held for family and close friends on Saturday July 2, 2022 at the LEE & MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
