Sandy Borsos

Sandra (Sandy) Borsos, 73, a lifelong resident of Atlasburg, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday May 25, 2021 in UPMC Magee Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born on January 18, 1948, the daughter of the late Michael A. Borsos, Sr. and Marie L. Durko Borsos.
A 1965 graduate of the Union High School in Burgettstown, she was a nurse at John J. Kane Regional Center and provided home health care with local elderly residents.
Sandy was a member of the Abundant Love Church of the Nazarene in Atlasburg. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and exploring thrift stores throughout the area.
She is survived by her loving children Connie Markish of Atlasburg, Cindy Kyzer and husband Matt of Largo, Florida, Christopher Welshans of Atlasburg; Son-in-Law, Steve Markish of Atlasburg. Brothers, Michael A. Borsos, Jr. and wife Mary, of Berkley Heights, NJ, and Brian Borsos, of Daly City, CA. Grandson, Steven M. Markish and fiancé Hope Bowersock, Granddaughters, Melissa Markish, Jennifer Markish, Amber Williams and husband Matt, Alexandra Bennett and husband, Brian, Sarah Gilbert, and husband John, Great Granddaughter, Tzipporah Williams, Great Grandson, Maddox Williams, Nephew, Michael G. Borsos, and several other extended family members.
Deceased in addition to her parents is her brother Gary S. Borsos; grandson, David Alexander Markish; great-granddaughter, Hannah Kyzer, Nephew, Richard A. Borsos and former husband, Walter Welshans.
Friends will be received from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday June 6, 2021 in the Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday June 7, 2021 in the Atlasburg Church of the Nazarene, 46 Main Street, Atlasburg, PA 15004 with Rev. Angela C. Kress officiating. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory
