Richard “Rick” L. Orison

Richard L. “Rick” Orison, 69, of Burgettstown; Hanover Twp., passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Thursday evening, March 6, 2025 in Trinity West Hospital, Steubenville, OH.

He was born on April 5, 1955, a son of the late Louis and Alice Wells Orison.

A 1973 Graduate of the Union High School in Burgettstown; he and his wife worked together as the owners of R&B Screen Printing and the Ranch Motel in Hanover Twp.

Rick was a member of the Burgettstown Area Cruisers and enjoyed taking his 1939 Plymouth Coupe, 1969 Falcon and most recently his 1988 BMW 325 to area car shows. He was also an avid collector of Slot Cars.

His wife, Barbara King Orison whom he married on September 15, 1979 survives.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his two daughters LaReina George and husband Adam of Burgettstown and Elysia Smith and husband Claude, Jr. of Weirton, WV; his two beloved grandchildren he could never say “no” to, Bucky Smith and Adelyn George; brother-in-law Vernon Curtis; sister-in-law Debbie Zuver and husband Danny; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents are his brother John Orison and his sister Paulette Collins (surviving husband Robert).

To honor Rick’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Arrangements are under the direction of Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of Burgettstown, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
