Richard Patrick Porchiran

Richard Patrick Porchiran, 71, of Burgettstown; formerly of Scott Township, passed away peacefully on Monday May 4, 2026 in his home.

He was born on July 1, 1954 in Washington the youngest son of the late John James and Ann Elizabeth Ortitay Porchiran.

A 1972 graduate of the Avella High School, Richard worked for US Airways at the Pittsburgh International Airport where he was a baggage handler. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, an excellent mechanic and enjoyed gardening, going to the casino and playing cards.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathy Porchiran whom he married on June 23, 1984; his brother Bennett John Porchiran and wife Tricia of Latrobe; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents is his brother Michael Robert Porchiran.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Ferguson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday May 16, 2026 in Our Lady of Lourdes Church of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, 1109 Main Street, Burgettstown, PA 15021 followed by Inurnment in St. Michael Cemetery, Avella.
