Rebecca Rankin

Rebecca Rankin, 70, of Cross Creek Twp., passed away on Saturday morning December 13, 2025 in McMurray Hills Manor, Canonsburg.

She was born on October 11, 1955 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Frank and Verna Sharp Guzel.

A graduate of the Chartiers-Houston High School, she retired from the Washington County Health Center. She also worked at Breezy Heights Tavern in Avella, drove school bus for the Avella School District and until this past March was an in home care aid.

Ms. Rankin found joy in helping and caring for others, being with her family, attending the county fair and taking care of her animals, crafting and yard sales with her sister Ruth.

She is survived by her children Jason Rankin (Dawn Schmetzer) and Lisa Taggart (Donnie); grandchildren Cody Rankin (Jordan Rush), Tyler Cerciello (Alivia Cerro), Abbie Cerciello, Matt Cerciello (Haley Russell), Connor Taggart (Sarah Maniecki), Madison Rankin, Elyssa McCullough, Ashley, Brendin, Caitlin, and Dakota McCullough; several great grandchildren; three sisters Rhonda (Bob) McDonald, Ruth (Wil) Dinsmore and Regina (Kevin) Julius; her brother Frank Guzel and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents is her nephew, Corey McConn.

Family and friends will be received from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday December 19, 2025 in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday December 20, 2025 with burial to follow in the Cross Creek Cemetery.
