Mary E. Fernandez Lombardi, 97, of Langeloth , passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, February 12, 2024 in her home.
She was born on August 3, 1926 a daughter of the late Jim and Ermina Fernandez.
Mrs. Lombardi worked as a beautician for many years as well as for All American Refurbishing in Langeloth.
She was a member of the Langeloth Presbyterian Church and enjoyed bowling, crafts and sewing. She was an active member of both the Burgettstown and Avella Senior Citizens Centers and helped campaign for many elections throughout the community.
On August 10, 1942 she married Richard L. Lombardi, Sr. Who preceded her in death on November 30, 2014.
Surviving are her two children Richard L. "Butch" Lombardi, Jr. and wife Patricia of Langeloth and Mary E. Borsos and husband Michael of New Jersey; grandchildren Michael Borsos, Richard L.Lombardi III and wife Roxanne, and Maryann Brandenburg and husband John; 10 great grandchildren Katelyn, Lauren and Daniel Borsos, Ashley Falzarano, Dylan, Madison, Samantha and Mason Lombardi, Trisha and Alex Brandenburg; a brother Benny Fernandez of Weirton; sisters Kathryn Kyluck of Langeloth and Lena Evko of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is a grandson Richard A. Borsos; a sister Anna Gonzalez; brother-in-laws Bill Kyluck, John Evko and Manuel Gonzalez; and a sister-in-law Dolores Fernandez.
Family and friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday February 18, 2024 in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of Burgettstown, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021. She will be laid to rest beside her husband and grandson in the Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
