Martha Z. Dugas Resnik

Martha Z. Dugas Resnik, 87, of Burgettstown, passed away on Saturday evening October 19, 2024 in The Wyngate, Weirton, WV.

She was born on May 23, 1937 in Slovan one of 15 children of the late Stephen and Mary Hvizdos Dugas.

A graduate of the Union High School in Burgettstown; she enjoyed working at the former Filipponi's Grocery Store, cooking, baking and was most proud of raising her family  

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church where she was active in the Christian Mothers and church choir. 

Her husband, Donald Gene Resnik who she married on September 28, 1957, passed away on December 20, 2004.

She is survived by her six children Susan Sutter and husband Ed of Albuquerque, N.M., Don Resnik and wife Shirley of High Falls, NY, John Resnik and wife Bernadette of Stuart, FL, Dan Resnik and wife Debbie of Burgettstown, Becky Miller and husband Andy of Burgettstown and Marcy Lounder and husband Chuck of Manteo, NC; 19 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; her sisters Theresa Dugas of Burgettstown and Frances Gilbert of AZ along with many nieces and nephews.

To honor Mrs. Resnik's wishes, she will be laid to rest privately in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown.
