Marlene Ann (Porchiran) Gobleck, 82, of Joffre, passed away on Wednesday evening December 4, 2024 in TownView Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg.

She was born on June 19, 1942 a daughter of the late Michael and Pauline (Pescho) Porchiran. After the death of her father she was raised by Joseph (Peppino) Cullari.

Mrs. Gobleck worked for Nationwide Insurance and PDM Office Supplies in Cleveland, OH where she lived briefly from 1987-2012. She loved being a homemaker and cooking for her family, playing games especially Jax, Perquacky, Scrabble and Jeopardy. She was a member of her card club for 50 years and also enjoyed playing slot machines and Bingo.

Her high school sweetheart and husband of 64 years, John A. “Pertsy” Gobleck whom she married on April 9, 1960 passed away on April 29, 2024.

She is survived her four children Monica Reynolds and husband John of Cherry Valley, Mickey Gobleck and wife Dayna of Burgettstown, Chris Gobleck and wife Dottie of Joffre and John B. Gobleck of Weirton, WV; grandchildren Matthew Reynolds (Summer), Bryan Reynolds (Courtney), Ross Reynolds (Cassie), Anthony Gobleck (Lauren), Andrew Gobleck (Katlyn), Ayla Gobleck, Alyssa Gobleck Green (Dalton), Krista Gobleck and Kevin Gobleck (Kristen); great grandchildren Leland, Samuel, Gus, Jacob, Josie, Maddie, Parker, Avie, Miles, Charlotte, Peter, Sam, Lily and Gianna, and her 15th great grandchild being born in January 2025; her sister Joann Testa of Burgettstown; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents is her sister Dolores Moore and husband Jim.

To honor Marlene’s adamant wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Arrangements are under the direction of Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021.

If so desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Burgettstown Area Senior Citizens Association, 200 Senior Way, Burgettstown, PA 15021 or the Alzheimer’s Association.
