Lewis Wayne Hodge, 79, of Weirton; formerly of Florence, passed away on Tuesday morning September 2, 2025 in WVU Weirton Medical Center.

He was born on January 26, 1946 in Pittsburgh a son of the late Raymond Lewis and Etta Ruth Keifer Hodge.

A graduate of the Weirton High School where he was the recipient of the Chad Pickens Award for baseball his senior year. After high school, he was drafted by the United States Army serving from 1968-1971 and was honorably discharged a recipient of the Good Conduct, National Defense Service, Vietnam Campaign, Vietnam Service and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medals.

Mr. Hodge worked for J&L Steel and Ohio Valley General Hospital prior to retirement. He enjoyed fishing and playing baseball.

He is survived by his children Karyn Charlton (Kevin Hatfield), David Hodge (Amanda); grandchildren Hannah Ruth Charlton and Delaney Rae Hatfield; sisters Lois Budash (Tom) and Linda Hodge (Julie).

Services and interment with full military honors were held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville under the direction of Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of Burgettstown.
