Kathleen “Kim” Homic, 68, of Beaufort, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at her home.
Kathleen, affectionately known as Kim was born on May 28, 1955, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Wilfred and Sue Kotouch.
Kim was a vibrant soul who cherished her family above all else. Her husband Joseph was her rock, and together they created a lifetime of precious memories. Kim's love and devotion to her family were unparalleled and her family meant the world to her. She will be remembered as a loving wife, supportive mother, and proud grandmother.
A true people person, Kim had the remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel valued and loved. Her presence could light up a room, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Hardworking and adventurous, Kim embraced life with a zest for both work and play. She worked hard and played harder, Kim particularly liked going out on the boat, and cherished the freedom of travel.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Joseph B. Homic II; daughters, Sophie T. Proud (Brian) of Pennsylvania and Crystal Homic of Florida; son, Joey Homic of Utah; and grandchildren, Christopher, Heidi Jo, Kylena and John.
In addition to her parents, Kim was preceded in death by her son, Christopher S. Hill and brother, Mark Kevin Kotouch.
Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the time of a Catholic Blessing Service officiated by Fr. Harry Bielewicz at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday April 4, 2024 in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services of Burgettstown, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021 followed by a luncheon and continuation of fellowship at the Slovan V.F.W.
Inurnment for Kim and her son Christopher will be held privately in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
