Katherine D. Sentipal, 73, of Slovan went home to be with her Lord on Monday June 27, 2022. She was born on December 5, 1948. Kathy attended Union High School in Burgettstown where she met and fell in love with her husband of 44 years, Ronald L. Sentipal, Sr. Her beloved husband, Ron, passed away in 2012. Together they had two children, Rhonda (Sentipal) Cavalier and husband Alan of Oakdale and Ronald Sentipal, Jr. (Faith Morelli) of Slovan.
She was employed at State Farm Insurance in Burgettstown for 37 years and also volunteered with the Slovan VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Kathy was a beautiful soul who helped anyone she could, however she could. She was a self-professed "home body" who preferred to spend time with and care for her loved ones. She had a wonderful group of friends who enjoyed monthly pokeno games together. Friends and family meant everything to her.
Kathy's greatest joy in life was her only grandchild, Rebecca Cavalier. They shared a very close, loving bond and Kathy loved attending Rebecca's activities to watch her dance and cheer, especially.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents Exsuperio and Mary Goni, sister, Ramona Goni, brother, Jack Thalacker and husband, Ronald Sr. Surviving are her two children and her granddaughter, Rebecca Catherine.
Friends will be received from 4:00-7:00 p.m on Thursday June 30 in the Lee and Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Zach Galiyas at 11:00 a.m. on Friday July 1, 2022 in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, Burgettstown. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery followed by a luncheon at the Slovan VFW.
