Joseph J. Sharkey, Jr.

Joseph J. Sharkey, Jr, 64, of Atlasburg, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning November 1, 2025 in his home.

He was born on December 1, 1960 in Pittsburgh a son of Joseph J. Sharkey, Sr. of Bethel Park and the late Toni Carilli Sharkey.

Mr. Sharkey retired in 1991 from US Airways where he was a baggage handler at the Pittsburgh International Airport.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving companion of 25 years Karen Reed Starr with whom he made his home; his step-daughter Dawn Starr of Burgettstown; and his step-grandchildren Skyler Ringeisen, Dakota Orgovan and Meya Starr.

Deceased in addition to his mother is his step-daughter Lori Ann Starr-Crow.

To honor Joe's wishes, there will be no public visitation or services.
