John Zibert Jr., 76, of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Canonsburg Hospital. He was born on May 20, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late John & Mildred Zibert. John served his country in the 101st Airborne Division, known as The Screaming Eagles, as an Army Infantryman during the Vietnam War before going on to work for Consolidated Coal for over 20 years. He enjoyed manning the grill at family gatherings and spending time relaxing at Myrtle Beach, SC.
John is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Shirley Zibert. Along with his brothers; Ronald, Mike, and Jim Zibert, and many nieces and nephews.
John’s ashes will be interred with military honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15078 during a short ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday November 30, 2023. Everyone attending is asked to meet at the National Cemetery at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday morning.
