John Andrew North, 77, and Angelika Jung North, 71, of Burgettstown; Jefferson Twp., passed away on April 8th & 13th, 2025, respectively.

John was born on August 22, 1947 the only child of the late John H. North and Louise Rivett Marcolini and Angelika was born in Grossauheim, Germany on July 27, 1953 a daughter of Heinz and Elfrieda Minna North.

A graduate of the Gladstone High School in Hazelwood; John served in the United States Army from 1966-1969 in Germany during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged a recipient of the Good Conduct and National Defense Service Medals.

They met while John was stationed in Germany serving in the Army and they married on April 10, 1970.

Angelika worked for the Squirrel Hill Newsstand while also providing a loving home for her family.

Mr. North retired from UPS and enjoyed watching TV and tinkering, especially on his tractors.

What John and Angelika loved most was their family. Their love and loyalty were a blessing to all who had the pleasure of receiving it.

They are survived by their daughter Jennifer Prasko, her husband, and their three grandchildren Kacie, Emily, and Jackson Prasko.

Services and inurnment for both John & Angelika, with full military honors for John, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 29, 2025 in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017. Those planning on attending are asked to meet at the National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
