John Michael Kampian, Jr., passed away on January 23, 2025.
He was born on December 5, 1938 a son of the late Stella (Sinciline) and John Kampian. Loving husband of Claudia Kampian, wonderful father of Jeff Kampian (Tracey) Lisa Ketter, and Eric (Donna) Kampian; brother of Mildred (Tom) Hoover; stepfather to Michelle (Joe) Presutti and Mark Myers. He was a proud and loving Grandfather to Mariah (Richard) Jones, Ashley Deer, Anthony Kampian, Alyssa Ketter, Elena Kampian, Nate Presutti, Allie Presutti; great grandfather to Hudson and Sawyer Jones. John served honorably in the U. S. Army and retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. He was a wonderful father who enjoyed deer hunting with his sons. He was an avid fisherman and always had a knack for landing fish wherever he went. He enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and watching sports on tv. Above all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was always there to enjoy all of his grandchildren’s events and will be missed and always loved.
Family and friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. until the time of a Catholic Blessing Service officiated by the Rev. John Ferguson at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday January 26, 2025 in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of Burgettstown (formerly Lee & Martin Funeral Home), 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021. Inurnment with full Military Honors will be held at a later date.
