Elizabeth "Dianne" McCoy

Elizabeth “Dianne” McCoy born on April 3, 1961 of Burgettstown, passed away on April 10th 2026 at home surrounded by family and friends.

Dianne graduated from Burgettstown High School and Franco beauty academy in 1979. She was a hairdresser for 30 years at various salons and endless in-home visits. While working as a hairdresser, Dianne obtained an associate's in computer programming and certificate in medical billing and coding at CCBC.

Dianne lived her life her way, with a shot of black velvet in ice in 1 hand, cigarette in the other and had zero interest in your opinion of her choices. She was always down for a good time, whether it be an impromptu cookout, drinks with her friends at the VFW or attending back-to-back sporting events for her grandchildren. She had many interests and roles in her lifetime but being a “mema” was by far her favorite. She loved her grandsons dearly.

Dianne is survived by her lifelong partner of 40 years, Gary M Steineman. They had quite a unique relationship. Married twice-divorced twice. Some people are just meant to drive each other crazy. 2 daughters- Alissa M. Steineman (Wayne C Geib II) of Raccoon twp., Amanda L. Steineman (Michael D. Panconi) of Burgettstown. 5 grandsons- Gavin Wargo, Walker and Warrick Geib, Michael and Nicholas Panconi, many nieces and nephews and her beloved pets Wiley and Fluff.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Janet Orvella McCoy (Watson), Ellsworth Clair McCoy, and siblings, Mark “Beav” Beaver, Jimmy beaver, Loretta Stewart, Julie McCoy.

I would like to thank Angel Martin, Tara Davis, Trichelle Barish, Jenn Darabant and Angela from Gallagher Hospice for the time, generosity and compassion that made it possible for mom to remain at home for hospice care. We will forever be grateful for the endless support. 

A Memorial Service celebrating her life is being planned and will be announced at a later date
