Elizabeth “Betty” Jane Dumbovich

Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Waltl Dumbovich, 94, a lifelong resident of Slovan,  passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, October 30, 2022 in The Donnell House, Washington.
She was born on May 7, 1928 in Slovan a daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Lawrence Waltl. 
A graduate of the Union High School in Burgettstown, she also completed Beauty School and worked as a beautician in Pittsburgh before starting her family. She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Burgettstown where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed celebrating Halloween, many good bad jokes and cooking and baking for her family.
Her beloved husband of 72 years, Joseph Matthew Dumbovich who she married on June 14, 1949 preceded her in death on June 8, 2021.
She is survived by her six children: Joe Donovic ( Jeanne); Darlene Duran (Lloyd); Robert Dumbovich (Mary); Ali Tomich (Craig); Judy Allison (Bob); Mark Dumbovich (Susan). Grandchildren: Joel Donovic (Catie); Laura Runk ( Todd); Stephen Duran ( Jamie); Kelly Ater (Jack); Matt Dumbovich (Sterling); Phil Kidd; Andrew Allison (Steff); Dr. Amy Coleman PT D.P.T.(Greg); Jonathan Allison (Becca Lorusso); Julie Wade (Dan); Adam Dumbovich ( Jen). Also 18 Great Grandchildren.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband, are her granddaughter Katie Dumbovich Haupl; and a brother Frank "Wenty" Waltl, Jr.
To honor her wishes, a private prayer service will be held in the Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021. Interment will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville at a later date.
