Donna Smith

Donna M. Smith, 70, of Joffre, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, January 6, 2021 in The Donnell House, Washington.
She was born on September 14, 1950 the second youngest child of Harvey N. and Catherine Folkens Engel.
A graduate of the Fort Cherry High School, she worked as a Nurses Aid at Country Meadows in Bridgeville and retired in 2013 from the Washington Hospital.
Donna loved the outdoors, especially gardening and feeding her hummingbirds and her dog Niko.
Surviving are her three children Shellie Smith Kelley and husband Derrick of Hawaii, Timothy Smith of Joffre, and Jamie Wheat and husband Kevin of Weirton, WV; seven grandchildren Lexie Smith, Tyler LaRue, Darian, Tyra, Devin, Logan Kelley and Lindsey Wheat; her siblings Delores Closser, wife of late Richard of Washington, William Engel and wife Beth of Langeloth, Kenneth Engel, husband of the late Pat of Hickory, Irene Hughes and husband Richard of McDonald, Alice Wolanski and husband Steve of Weirton, Debra Dorsey and husband Mark of Avella; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents is her husband Richard A. Smith who passed away on November 29, 1995; and her brother and sisters Clyde Engel, Audrey Engel, Harvey A. Engel and wife Maggie, Henry Engel and wife Joyce, and Joan Basile and husband Pete.
Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday January 9, 2021 in the Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021. Interment will follow in the Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
Everyone visiting the funeral home and attending the services are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing for the safety of the family, staff, clergy and themselves.
