Donna Marie Russell

Donna Marie Esno Russell, 78, of Slovan passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, June 30, 2026 in her home.

She was born on September 3, 1947 during a tornado in Washington a daughter of the late John Drazio and Vinca Vozar Esno Drazio.

A 1965 graduate of the Union High School in Burgettstown , she also completed beauty school in Washington. Along with her younger sister Theresa, she owned a beauty shop in Slovan before starting her family.

Donna enjoyed arts and crafts and spending time with her great niece Hope and great grandson Toby.

On October 17, 1970 she married William R. Russell, Sr., sharing 50 years of marriage before his passing on January 2, 2020.

Donna is survived by her two children Mindy Bock of Cecil and William R. Russell, Jr. of Slovan; sisters and brother Stella Taylor (the late Edward) of North Carolina, Paul “Porky” Esno and wife Barb of Slovan and Carol Miller of Slovan; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is her sister Theresa Neil (surviving husband Eugene) and her sister-in-law Wilma Michelucci and husband James.

Inurnment services will be held on Friday July 10, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017. Those planning on attending are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:15 p.m.

Immediately concluding the services at the National Cemetery, the Russell family invites everyone to the Knights of Columbus Pavilion in Burgettstown for a luncheon and celebration of Donna’s life.

Due to Mrs. Russell’s love of her dog, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 PA-136, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
