Donna Joan Murphy

Donna Joan Murphy, 90, of Paris, PA passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the Weirton Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 4, 1934, in Ravenna, OH, a daughter of the late Robert E. and Blanche L. (Wymer) Peacock.

Her husband, Daniel C. Murphy, whom she married October 5, 1957, passed away November 25, 2015.

Left to cherish her memories are her four children, Robert E. Murphy, Danette Buchanan and husband Jess, both of Follansbee, WV, Lorna Balmer of Paris and Diana “Dee” Murphy and companion, Cindy Jackson, of Weirton, WV; five grandchildren, Jeremy Buchanan and wife Briana, Tyler Buchanan and wife Jessica, Tanner, Hunter and McKenna Balmer.

She leaves behind her 4 precious great grandchildren, Niko, Mila, Delaney and McKenzie Buchanan. Also surviving is a sister, Roberta Moore of AZ, and several nieces and nephews.

We would like to take this time to “thank” Tammy and her staff of Woodland Hills Assisted Living for the loving care they provided our Mother where she resided for the past 4 years.

 Family and friends will be received from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday June 21, 2024 in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 22, 2024. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Hanover Township.
