Donald C. Diehl, 89, of Bulger; formerly of Brookline, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning August 8, 2024 in his home.
He was born on July 5, 1935 in the Brookline section of Pittsburgh a son of the late Bernard Joseph and Margaret Mary Freund Diehl.
After graduating high school he enlisted in and honorably served in the United States Army before working as a union electrician for the IBEW #5 from where he retired.
Don is survived by his daughters Vickie Lynn Rush of Bulger and Kimberly Sue Diehl of Pittsburgh ; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; and a brother Raymond Diehl of Scott Twp.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Donna Lynn Dix; his son-in-law Dale Alan Fulmer; a grandson Donnie Diehl; and his brother Bernard Diehl.
Family and friends will be received from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday August 12 in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services of Burgettstown, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021 where a Catholic Blessing service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 13, 2024 with the Rev. Harry Bielewicz, Pastor of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, officiating. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Canonsburg.
