Diane (Liz) Brown

Diane (Liz) Brown, of Burgettstown, PA, formally of Grafton, WV, entered into the arms of our Lord, on Monday morning January 27, 2025.

She was the daughter of the late Dorothy Shaffer & Robert Moore. One of Liz’s most proudest accomplishments was raising her two sons, who cherishes her, Jason Young, Burgettstown, Pa and Warren (BJ) Young, Weirton, WV.

Liz is survived by her companion of 39 years, Ron Atkins; her beautiful granddaughter, who she adored, Chloe Young, Pa; three sisters, Sandy (Jerry) Ross, Flemington, WV, Robin (Tim) McVicker and Donna Moore, of Grafton; two brothers, James (Peggy) Moore, of Grafton and Robert Moore, of West Palm Beach, Fl.; Liz had a big family, with several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, but the one’s who she enjoyed her conversations with via phone, was Jodi Sine & husband, Dallas, with their sons, Judah Sine and Morgan Freeman; two nieces, Darlene (Eric) Grossa, Morgantown, WV and Jackie Collins, Grafton, WV; two nephews, Charles (Charlie) Moore and Jay Ross; She has four great-nieces, Jada Nelson, Naia Brewer, Olivia Collins and Aubree Collins; two great-great-nephews, Kamar and Karter; Carla Archie, with her four boys, Rosevelt Brauc Archie, Zach Archie, Kolton Archie and Shannon Archie, along with Lori Orison, with her three boys, Brian, with one child, Kevin Orison and Skyler Orison, all of Pa, has been her best and lifelong friends, since she moved to Pa years ago. Their bond is so strong, they call each other sister.

Proceeding Liz in death is one sister, who she’s never gotten over losing, Debbie Hancovsky and four brothers, Allen Moore, Charles Moore, Manuel (Teenie) Moore and Dale Shaffer.
Liz will be viewed from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday January 31, 2025 in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of Burgettstown (formerly Lee & Martin Funeral Home) 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021. Upon her request, she will be cremated.
