Deborah Louise Hoberek

Deborah Louise "Debbie" Hoberek, 63, of Burgettstown, passed away after a lengthy hard fought illness on Saturday morning May 24, 2025 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born on November 11, 1961 a daughter of Carole McFarland Scruppi of Cherry Valley and the late David Scruppi.

A 1979 graduate of the Burgettstown High School, Debbie also attended the Wilma Boyd Career School in Pittsburgh before starting her career as an export specialist with Mobay Chemical Company, the Bayer Corporation, Lanxess and most recently Arlanxeo USA.

Debbie enjoyed spending time in Cherry Valley at her parents swimming pool with friends and family.

She was a fan of all Pittsburgh sports especially the Pittsburgh Penguins and loved to crochet, go shopping, gamble, arts and crafts, and decorating the house.

In addition to her mother, Debbie is survived by her loving husband George "Huck" Hoberek whom she married on October 19, 1991; and her two beloved sons Drake and Heath Hoberek.

Deceased in addition to her father is her twin sister Diane Scruppi who died in infancy.

To honor Debbie's wishes, visitation and services were held privately for her immediate family. She will be laid to rest in the Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory at a later date.
