It is with sorrow that his family must share the passing of David B. Miller, 86, of Florence, PA. He was born in Claysville a son to Irvin and Helen (Moore) Miller. Dave graduated from Union High School in Burgettstown in 1954 and was a proud graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, where three generations of his family also attended, and where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.
He served his country in the United States Army Reserves and his community on the Burgettstown Area School Board and the Washington County Planning Authority. He carried on his fathers business, M&M Equipment until his death. Dave was an avid Classic Car and Hot Rod Enthusiast and was most proud of his membership in the Fort Steuben Car Club. He was also a member of Richard Vaux Lodge 454 F&AM.
He is survived by his wife Marie Tulle Miller; his former wife and mother of his children Dr. Carolyn S. Miller; four children Shawn (Jennifer) Miller, Amy (Jeff) Froats, Mary (Dennis) Singer and Andy "Dewey" (Becky) Miller; grandchildren Jade Miller, Samantha (Dan) Szabo, David Miller, Ben (Kristen) Froats, Melody (Emanuel) Singer, Daniel (Regina) Singer, Andrew (Morgan) Miller, Owen (Dawn) Miller and Clark Miller; great grandchildren Scarlett Marquis, Mack Froats, Zori, Walker and Hazel Szabo; a sister Ann Miller Jones, sister-in-law Rita Tulle; niece Julie Jones; nephews Jeff and Greg Jones; and many cousins. Dave was cared for in his last months by an angel named Christina Fanase.
Friends will be received from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday February 26 in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of BURGETTSTOWN, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021 where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday February 27, 2023 with his niece Julie Jones and his cousin Terry Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Claysville Cemetery.
