Charles S. Wright, Sr.

Charles S. Wright, Sr., 90, of Florence; Hanover Twp., passed away on Thursday evening October 24, 2024 in the Greenery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg.

He was born on August 23, 1934 in Deep Valley, WV a son of the late Victor & Pearl Barnhart Wright.

After attending the Union High School in Burgettstown, He worked  as a supervisor of the blast furnace at Weirton Steel from where he retired; and was an active member of both the Burgettstown & Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Departments.

He is survived by his loving wife Catherine Daske Wright; children Charles S. Wright, Jr. and wife Bonnie of Industry, Pa and Debbie Resnik and husband Dan of Burgettstown; grandchildren Charles Wright III (Jennifer), Alexis Wright (Mark DeCaria), Brian Resnik (Haleigh), Brad Resnik (Elizabeth) and Olivia Resnik; great grandchildren Caleigh and Connor Wright, Avery and Evelyn DeCaria, Pearl, Rhett and Maren Resnik; brothers Fred, Victor and Larry Wright; a sister Rhonda Smitsky and many nieces and nephews.

Services and burial in Grandview Cemetery, Florence will be held privately for his immediate family under the direction of Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
