Carl "Chirp" Iannetti, 81, of Hookstown, passed away on Tuesday morning February 13, 2024 in the Weirton Medical Center.
He was born on July 2, 1942 a son of the late Nick and Elizabeth Repole Iannetti.
A graduate of the Union High School in Burgettstown, he also earned a degree in Business from Penn State University before serving our country as a Lt. Commander in the United States Navy.
For over 50 years he co-owned Iannetti's Garden Center in Hanover Twp. with his brother Nick. He was there every day serving the tri-state area.
He is survived by his wife Christine Kascak Iannetti who he married in 1969; his three sons Anthony Iannetti, P.E. and wife Julie of North Ridgeville, OH, David Iannetti of Hookstown and Michael Iannetti, M.D. and wife Laci of Williamstown, WV; three grandchildren Natalie, Lucas and Abigail Iannetti; a brother Joseph Iannetti and wife Dorothy of Georgetown; his sister-in-law Stephana Iannetti of Hanover Twp.; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his parents is his brother Nick Iannetti.
Family and friends will be received from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday February 18, 2024 in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc of Burgettstown, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Harry Bielewicz at 11:00 a.m.on Monday February 19, 2024 in Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, 1109 Main Street in Burgettstown. He will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown.
