Bernard J. Jaggie

Bernard J.Jaggie, 84, of Rawlings, MD, formerly of Burgettstown, PA  passed away on Thursday August 24, 2023 at 12:05 pm in the Weirton Geriatrics Center.

He was born on April 6, 1939 in Colton WV a son of the late Benjamin Franklin Jaggie and Tiny Mae Bennett Jaggie.

He worked at J&L Steel in Aliquippa, PA and also Sutherland Lumber in Burgettstown, PA. He enjoyed fishing, bluegrass, country music and gardening.

His wife, Barbara Bender Jaggie who he married on June 5, 1959 passed away on January 4, 1997.

He is survived by his children, John Jaggie (Cindy Jaggie) of Weirton WV, Mike Jaggie (Lori Prevost) of Weirton, WV, Bonnie Jaggie Eft (Donald Eft) of Rawlings, MD, and Bobbie Jo Lawson of Weirton, WV. He has 7 grandchildren, John Jaggie Jr (Michelle) of Weirton, WV, Samantha Jaggie Yochum (Eric) of Paris, PA, Christopher Jaggie of Burgettstown, PA, Nathan Lawson (deceased), Jacob Eft (Alayna) of Morgantown WV, Benjamin Eft of Rawlings, MD and Joshua Eft of Rawlings MD. He also has 4 Great Grandchildren, Kylie, Cameron, Landon and Jace. He is also survived by a large family of brothers and sisters.  Roger Jaggie of PA, Rodney Jaggie of PA, Alfred Jaggie of PA, Lionel Jaggie of NC, Violet Shipman of PA, Mary Lou Petrucci of WV, and Wilma Holbert of PA.

Deceased in addition to his parents and wife are his brother Frank Jaggie, sister Helen Friend and his grandson Nathan Lawson.  They will all be welcoming him with open arms.

Family and friends will be received from 12-4 on Sunday August 27, 2023 in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of BURGETTSTOWN, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021 where services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday August 28, 2023 with Pastor Kenn Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Burgettstown.
